What kind of Asian are you? (by helpmefindparents)
So much relevancy
It really does saddens me that I didn’t have the chance to see you before you left. I haven’t had the chance to hangout with you or see you in a while and I hope you have a good time there. In a few months, you’ll be back but then I’ll be back in school. I hope that we’ll have time to see each other and hang out.
This is La-dumbeezy-ny Dao. Welp, she probably is one of the most impacting people that I’ve met here at UCI. Honestly, from the night that I met her (Sorry for calling you a dumb beezy on the first night LOL), I kinda sorta knew that we will get along. Then, after a couple of weeks, she became my big in Circle K. Next thing you know, we would be hanging out everyday, talking on the phone till 3 in the morning about anything, getting phone calls at 9 in the morning about her ratchet endeavors, and many more. I don’t think my Freshman year would’ve been this great without her. She’s always there to encourage me on everything and makes sure that I’m grounded with everything that I do.
She’s getting hella busy now but it’s okay. I’m appreciating her company more and more when we see each other. I’m glad to have met someone like you. <3

College is a scam because it is an institution that was created to continue this mindset and prepare students for the real world. Well, news flash: the world doesn’t work this way. Rather the world is more connected to the character traits we learned in elementary school. I can guarantee that perseverance, integrity, and responsibility will get you much further in life than a handful of As will. College has been a good experience for me so far because I have grown as a person and am learning a lot about myself. I’m not saying that no one should go to college. What I am saying is that college should not be seen as just the next step after high school. College is meant to serve a purpose in continuing education and it no longer does that effectively because people do not go for this reason anymore. People in today’s society go to college, take classes in subjects we’ll never need and pay tuition for a piece of paper that, many times, is virtually meaningless. What do I want to be when I grow up? I have no idea. But here’s to figuring it out, and I’m sure as hell not going to figure it out in Calculus. So I’ll take that F and I’ll raise you some courage and respect.

I think a cool thing about being on a past district board is that you can not talk to people from the board for an extended period of time and when you do get a chance to meet up again, it’s like no one ever left. I feel like we’ve all been used to it because of the time between the board meetings during our terms. I don’t know, the bonds made from being on DB are just inexplicably great.
After changing to fit into society, you are eventually going to want your old self back sooner or later
This. This is powerful.
And it makes me feel sad
